FAQ for horse and dog photoshoots:

What type of photography sessions do you offer?

I specialize in equine and dog photography, capturing the unique bond between you and your animals. Whether it’s an elegant equine portrait or a playful dog session, I aim to create stunning images that tell your pet’s story.
Or a beautifully crafted video showcasing your horse or dog in action, I create visual stories that you can cherish forever.

How do I prepare my horse for a photoshoot?

To get the best results, make sure your horse is well-groomed, with a clean coat, trimmed hooves, and a tidy mane and tail. If necessary, have your horse exercised beforehand to help them stay calm during the session. But don't excerise them too much otherwise they might be too sweaty during the photoshoot.

How do i prepare my dog for a photoshoot

A well-groomed and relaxed dog photographs best! I’ve partnered with Trimsalonbeautydogs to offer an optional pre-session grooming service, so your dog looks their best for the shoot. This includes bathing, brushing, and light styling. Let me know in advance if you’d like to book this service.

What should I wear for the photoshoot?

If you're not choosing anything from my client closet, i advise you to wear comfortable, neutral-colored clothing that complements your horse. Avoid busy patterns and overly bright colors. If you're part of the session, coordinating your outfit with your horse’s tack can create a more cohesive look.

Can I bring multiple horses/dogs to the session?

Yes! If you’d like to include multiple horses/dogs, let me know in advance so we can plan enough time for each animal. Additional charges may apply depending on the number of pets.

What locations do you recommend for a photoshoot?

Beautiful outdoor locations such as open fields, forests, beaches, or your own barn can create stunning backdrops. I also know plenty of great locations in The Netherlands, so I can also help suggest scenic locations based on your preferences.

How long does a session typically last?

Most sessions last between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of horses and outfit changes. More extensive shoots may require additional time. For minishoots the avarage is usally 30/45 minutes.

What if my horse/dog doesn’t cooperate?

I understand that horses and dogs can be unpredictable. I allow plenty of time for breaks and adjustments to ensure we capture beautiful, stress-free moments. If necessary, we can reschedule under special circumstances.

When will I receive my photos?

Edited images are typically delivered within 3/4 weeks after the session. You will receive them via an online gallery where you can download high-resolution copies.

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Absolutely! I am an international equine photographer and travel worldwide for sessions. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.
